The Bench

While out walking I come across benches that have been made of all different materials, names engraved on them. Don’t think me the weirdest bloke in the world but there must be millions of benches so I though everywhere I go I will take images. Old benches, stone benches, funny shaped benches, one off benches. I started yesterday.

There is bench in Stanley Park where I go to photograph birds and the New bench was made a a man I don’t know but died last year, young and in tragic circumstances, he loved photography and birds was his subject. They have asked all photographers to sit on it and have your picture taken on it. How many more stories are there about people that are not with us anymore, or have done something amazing to have a bench made in their name.

I have a bench with all the Children’s names Engraved into the wood, dates of births and Star Signs.

I know if I ask anyone who follows me or knows me to look out for any strange benches, to email them to me with a brief description about it if you know the history. Email the picture or link it to my blog so I can add them to the collection.

This Stone bench is in Silverdale.
